Yesterday World Cup 2023 Match Result: Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan on October 30

In Yesterday's ICC World Cup 2023 Match, Sri Lanka locked horns against Afghanistan at the MCA Stadium in Pune. It was a crucial match for both teams as defeat would have been damaging for either's semifinal hopes.

In the chase, Afghanistan lost Rahmanullah Gurbaz early, but Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah steadied the ship for them. Zadran scored 39 and Rahmat scored 62, and after they got out, Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai took the Afghans home.

Shahidi and Azmatullah stitched an unbeaten 111-run partnership for the 4th wicket and won it for them. Azmatullah remained unbeaten on 73, while Shahidi also notched an unbeaten half-century. With that, the Afghans completed a comprehensive victory by 7 wickets with 28 balls to spare.
