Who Won The Toss Today, PAK vs SL World Cup 2023 Match 8: Sri Lanka captain Dashun Shanaka chose to bat first after winning the toss against Babar Azam-led Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy in Chennai on Tuesday (October 10).

Sri Lanka made one change to their line-up as spinner Maheesh Theekshana returned to the line-up after missing the first game due to a hamstring injury while Pakistan skipper Babar Azam made a change as well.

"We will bat first, there was some assistance for the bowlers in the second half in the previous game. We have one change - Theekshana comes in for Kasun Rajitha," said Shanaka after the toss. "It is about execution and the boys have been playing a lot of cricket and hopefully, we will do well in this game."

Meanwhile, Pak captain Azam said: "The wicket looks very dry and the first ten overs is very crucial for us. We have one change - Shafique comes in for Fakhar. Yes, we have a good record against them and we will try to do our best."
