Travis Head's blistering century and Heinrich Klaasen's brutal onslaught powered SRH to a colossal total of 287/3, setting a new IPL record for the highest team score. Their relentless batting display left RCB's bowlers gasping for answers.

Head's sensational innings of 102 runs off just 41 deliveries, adorned with nine fours and eight sixes, showcased his extraordinary power-hitting prowess. Teaming up with opener Abhishek Sharma (34 runs off 22 balls), Head constructed a formidable opening partnership of 108 runs. The explosive duo relentlessly attacked the RCB bowlers, dictating terms right from the outset.

As if Head's onslaught wasn't enough, Klaasen joined the party with a blitzkrieg of his own. The South African wicketkeeper-batsman unleashed an array of powerful strokes, smashing his way to a rapid-fire 67 runs off just 31 deliveries, including seven towering sixes. His aggressive approach further compounded RCB's misery, pushing them on the back foot.

Despite a spirited start from RCB's top-order batsmen, including skipper Faf du Plessis (62 runs off 28 balls) and Virat Kohli (42 runs off 20 balls), the daunting target proved to be a mountain too high to climb. While Du Plessis and Kohli laid a solid foundation with a scorching 79-run partnership in the Powerplay overs, SRH's bowlers fought back with commendable resilience.

The turning point of the match came with the introduction of leg-spinner Mayank Markande, whose timely breakthroughs derailed RCB's chase. Kohli's dismissal triggered a collapse, as RCB lost four wickets in quick succession. Despite valiant efforts from Dinesh Karthik (83 runs off 35 balls) and Mahipal Lomror (19 runs off 7 balls), SRH's bowlers, led by Pat Cummins (3/43), maintained their composure to secure a crucial victory.

While RCB's middle-order batsmen showed resilience, their efforts fell short as SRH emerged victorious by a margin of 25 runs. The match witnessed a record-breaking tally of 549 runs, making it the highest-scoring encounter in IPL history. With this emphatic win, Sunrisers Hyderabad showcased their batting prowess and underlined their credentials as serious contenders in the tournament.
