Yesterday's (Wednesday, March 27) IPL 2024 match saw Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad posted the highest IPL score and registered a victory by 31 runs over the Mumbai Indians to get their first points on the board this season.

SRH posted 277 for 3 and there were sixes galore as Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen went berserk. Abhishek Sharma scored the quickest half-century by an SRH player as they posted a mammoth total.
Mumbai Indians also made a valiant effort in the run chase. Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma started in sublime fashion as the Paltans reached the 50-run mark within three overs. Even after that, Tilak Varma consistently found the maximum but it was just not enough. Mumbai Indians ended up scoring 246 runs and the home team won by 31 runs.
Although MI lost the match, a total of 523 runs were scored across the two innings, which is the highest aggregate score in a T20 match in history.

SRH batter Heinrich Klaasen was the highest scorer of the match with an unbeaten 80 off just 34 balls. He hit 4 fours and 7 sixes in his innings.
SRH bowlers Pat Cummins and Jaydev Unadkat picked up 2 wickets each, but it was captain Cummins who had a better figure of 2/35 in his four overs.
Abhishek Sharma of Sunrisers Hyderabad were awarded as the Player of the Match for his brilliant 63 runs off just 23 balls. He also reached his fifty in just 16 deliveries.
