In Yesterday's ICC World Cup 2023 Match, India maintained their unbeaten run in the World Cup 2023 by beating South Africa by 243 runs at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Chasing a 327-run total on Sunday, November 5, South Africa were bundled out for 83 in 27.1 overs. Ravindra Jadeja took a five-wicket haul and became only the second India spinner after Yuvraj Singh to achieve the feat.

Mohammed Siraj clean bowled Quinton de Kock in the second over to hand India their first break though. Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav picked two wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah was threatening like always and built early pressure on South Africa by giving just 14 runs in five overs. Marco Jansen top-scored for South Africa with 14 runs.
Earlier in the day, India won the toss and opted to bat first in the top-of-the-table clash. Rohit Sharma gave India another cracking start with 24-ball 40. Birthday boy Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer took forward the innings after Shubman Gill's (23) departure in the eleventh over.
The duo forged a crucial partnership on a slow and tough batting surface to forge a 134-run partnership for the third wickets. Kohli slammed his much-awaited record-equalling 49th ODI hundred. Iyer looked solid during his 87-ball stay for 77 runs.
Suryakumar Yadav (22 off 14) and Ravindra Jadeja (29* off 15) played crucial knocks towards the end to help India cross the 300-run mark and post 326/5 on the board.

India spinner Ravindra Jadeja picked up five wickets in the match. He gave away just 33 runs in nine overs and picked the wickets of Temba Bavuma, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Keshav Maharaj and Kagiso Rabada.
Virat Kohli was given Man of the Match award for his 101 not out runs. With his 49th ODI hundred, Kohli equalled Sachin Tendulkar's record for most ODI hundreds.
