In yesterday's World Cup 2023 match, Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by six wickets in the morning match in Dharamsala, while South Africa thrashed Sri Lanka by 102 runs in the afternoon fixture on Saturday, October 7 in Delhi.
Afghanistan were bundled out for 156 in 37.2 after being asked to bat first. Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked three wickets each. Later, fifties from Miraz and Najmul Hossain Shanto helped Bangladesh chase down the target in 34.4 overs for the loss of just four wickets.

In the second match, hundreds from Quinton de Kock (100), Rassie Van Der Dussen (108) and Aiden Markram (106) propelled South Africa to 428/5 - the highest ever total in the history of the ODI World Cup.
In reply, Sri Lanka were bundled out for 326 in 44.5 overs. Kusal Mendis (76), Charith Asalanka (79) and Dasun Shanaka (68) scored a fifty each. Sri Lanka number nine Kasun Rajitha (33) was the fourth-highest run-scorer for his team in the match. Gerald Coetzee picked three wickets, while Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj picked two wickets apiece.
