Chasing 156, RCB lost early wickets but Virat Kohli produced a match-winning masterclass, smashing an unbeaten 75 off just 42 balls - his fastest IPL fifty. Solid contributions from the middle order helped RCB reach 161/5 in 18 overs.
This victory makes RCB only the third team to defend an IPL title. Kohli was named Player of the Match for his heroic knock. Captain Patidar lifted the trophy amid massive celebrations as "Ee Sala Cup Namde" echoed across the stadium. A fitting end to an unforgettable season.
