Amid this delicate situation, reports have emerged that Pakistan captain Babar Azam has spent a gigantic amount on shopping.

According to One Cricket, Babar Azam spent INR 7 Lakh, which is around 23 lakh 59 thousand Pakistani Rupees. The Pakistan skipper has reportedly spent the money to buy a Sabyasachi sherwani.

For the uninitiated, Sabyasachi Mukherjee is a renowned fashion designer in India who has designed clothing for many superstars and cricketers, including Virat Kohli.

Why did Babar Azam buy a Sherwani?

Babar Azam has reportedly utilised the time between games to do the shopping. According to reports, the Pakistan skipper is set to tie the knot at the end of the year. It is understood that he bought the Sherwani for his marriage purposes.

Amid Pakistan's ongoing struggle in the World Cup, this act is definitely going to attract more negativity from the other side of the border.

Babar's captaincy is on the line as well as various ex-cricketers and media houses have demanded his expulsion. He hasn't fired in the tournament with the bat as well, scoring just 216 runs in seven matches at an average of around 31.
