As the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team land in Bengaluru after their IPL 2025 title win, there is a huge blow to the RCB fans across the city.
There was supposed to be an open-top bus parade from Vidhana Soudha to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, but that has been cancelled, as per the latest updates. The victory parade garnered monumental interest from people, and fans had already started to gather at the Vidhana Soudha area.

The procession was supposed to start at Vidhana Soudha and culminated at Chinnaswamy Stadium - a 1.4 km victory parade through the heart of Bengaluru. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is likely to felicitate the team on the grand steps of Vidhana Soudha.
Around 1 pm in the afternoon on Wednesday (June 4), the Bengaluru Traffic Police tweeted confirming the victory parade is cancelled.
The Bengaluru City Traffic confirmed to MyKhel that the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka were discussing the Victory Parade, but the decision was taken to cancel the event, much to the disappointment of the fans.
The Karnataka Police has cancelled the Victory Parade citing traffic and too much footsteps for the celebratory event. In the wake of the current situations, which is supposed to bring huge number of people, there were security concerns and traffic movement concerns, which has led to the cancellation of the event.
The official felicitation ceremony for the RCB team is to be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium between 5 PM and 6 PM, with entry restricted to those holding valid tickets or passes, as the event is not open to the general public.
Contrary to earlier reports, there won't be open-top victory parade through the city. Due to limited parking near the venue, attendees have been encouraged to use Metro and other public transport. Meanwhile, a traffic advisory was issued urging citizens to avoid the Central Business District (CBD) area between 3 PM and 8 PM to ease congestion.
As per the latest updates, RCB have confirmed that the Victory Parade will take place from 5 pm IST and it will continue from Vidhana Soudha to Chinnaswamy Stadium.
