Why Javed Miandad Wants to 'Wield Sword Against Indians'? Controversial Video of Former Pak Cricketer Goes Viral
The long-standing rivalry between India and Pakistan has taken a new turn, with former Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad making headlines for a controversial video in which he seems to threaten violence against Indians.
Javed Miandad's comments come at a time when tensions are already high following India's decision not to participate in the 2024 ICC Champions Trophy, scheduled to be held in Pakistan.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made it clear that India will not be traveling to Pakistan for the tournament, prompting the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to consider hosting the event under a hybrid format. However, PCB has rejected this idea, which has further added to the friction between the two cricketing nations.
In a video that has now gone viral on social media, Miandad can be seen wearing a Pakistan cricket jersey and brandishing a sword. He provocatively says, "I hit a six with the bat. Now, it's time for this [the sword]."
As another person beside him adds, "The bat was sharp, and the sword is sharp too," Miandad responds, "If I can hit a six, I can do more." His inflammatory comments have sparked outrage, as many interpret them as a threat of violence.
The video has quickly gained traction online, fueling further controversy as India and Pakistan brace for a possible clash in the Champions Trophy. Miandad's statement, filled with bravado and hostility, has left many questioning the former cricketer's motives and the impact of such remarks on the already strained relationship between the two countries.
