Samit Dravid is all set to make his India U-19 debut after being named in the multi-format series against Australia U-19 starting September 21. Samit, the son of legendary Rahul Dravid, has been rewarded for his good run in under-19 domestic cricket.
He has been picked in the squad for the three one-day matches, and also two four-day games. The one-day matches will be played in Puducherry, while the two four-day matches will be held in Chennai.

There is a major hype around Samit Dravid's much-anticipated India U-19 debut. However, the talented youngster will not be able to play an U-19 World Cup for India.
Samit Dravid was born on November 10 in 2005, and will turn 19 this year. The next U-19 World Cup is scheduled to be held in 2026 in Zimbabwe and Namibia. Samit Dravid would already have celebrated his 20th birthday by then, making him ineligible to play in the prestigious ICC tournament.
Regardless, Samit is on cloud nine, and gearing up for the opportunity to represent India at the junior level for the first-time ever. In a video posted by Star Sports Kannada on X, the right-hander said that he worked really hard for the moment.
"First of all, I am very happy to be selected and thank you for all your wishes. I think I am feeling great, I worked very hard for this moment,” Samit Dravid said on X.
Samit Dravid played for Mysore Warriors in the Maharaja T20 Trophy, and scored 82 runs in seven matches at an average of 11.71 and a strike rate of 113.88. His best came against Gulbarga Mystics when he scored 33 runs off 24 balls including four boundaries and a six.
