Why Virat Kohli Is Not Posting On Social Media Anymore? RCB Star Explains Ahead Of IPL 2025

Virat Kohli, one of the most influential cricketers of the modern era, has significantly reduced his presence on social media, leaving many fans wondering why.

Once known for sharing glimpses of his personal life, achievements, and cricketing milestones, Kohli has now taken a conscious step back from the virtual world. His recent comments shed light on the reasons behind this shift as he also didn't post about the recent Champions Trophy win.

Speaking at the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit, Kohli explained, "Posting about us winning the Champions Trophy is not going to increase the happiness in my heart. They all know that we've won the trophy, so me posting about it is not going to give us two trophies. The reality is going to stay the same."

Kohli also touched upon the distracting nature of social media. "Technology when not attached to a goal can be quite distracting. It is something I have experienced in my playing career. Luckily, I grew up in a time when you didn't have this thing in your pocket (hinting at a smartphone). It is much easier to keep it on the side... I don't engage and post a lot these days and people are not happy about that. It is something that I have consciously tried to do. To keep up with that for me was way too much. It was taking away a lot of energy from me because I could utilise that in my game or life," he said.

His decision to step away has left some fans disappointed, but Kohli remains steadfast in prioritizing his well-being. While many may wish for more updates from him, he has intentionally minimized his digital presence to maintain balance.

As Kohli gears up for IPL 2025 with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, his focus remains firmly on the game. While his online activity has reduced, his dedication to cricket continues to inspire millions, proving that true passion doesn't need social media validation.
