Virat Kohli has continued his rich form in the second ODI against South Africa, scoring his 53rd ODI century in the match in Raipur.
The Indian stalwart, who got his 52nd in the last match in Ranchi, has played another scintillating knock so far, getting to the century mark in style.

After losing Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma early, Kohli partnered with Ruturaj Gaikwad, who also scored his maiden ODI century on the day.
Kohli's knock has come in a crucial time for both the country and the player, as there have been questions lingering on his international future. The star batter though has replied in regal fashion, now scoring three consecutive 50+ scores in the ODIs, the 13rd time he has done so in his ODI career.
And as the India star got to his century in style, Sunil Gavaskar's comments live on-air has caught the attention of the fans. The veteran commentator and India legend hailed Kohli after his brilliant knock, comparing him with the fictional hero Superman.
"Who needs a Superman when you have Virat Kohli," said Gavaskar on air, who also pointed out another significant side of Kohli's knock.
Virat hit 7 fours and 2 sixes in his knock of 102 runs off 93 deliveries, which meant the batter scored 62 runs in singles and couples. Gavaskar stressed the importance of rotating the strike and labelled it as the key for success.
"The key thing is the singles, which is the lifeline of ODI cricket. The number of singles makes a batter feel he is on the move, which Kohli did brilliantly," he added.
Kohli ended up getting dismissed on 102 runs as India are placed in an excellent position, similar to the last match. The 37-year-old has now also hit three consecutive centuries against the Proteas in ODIs, which stretches back to the 2023 ODI World Cup, where Kohli scored his 49th ODI ton in Kolkata.
