India's opening duo of Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to provide the tourists a strong start in the series-deciding fifth T20I against West Indies.
West Indies left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein struck twice in three overs to first remove Yashasvi for 5 and then dismissed Gill for 9 to give his side a stunning start after India won the toss and opted to bat first in Lauderhill.

Earlier the fourth T20I saw a record-breaking opening stand from the opening duo, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill. Their contribution played a significant role in India's victory.
In the 5th T20I match, India successfully chased a target of 179 runs in just 17 overs, winning the fourth T20I.
The pair's performance in the 5th T20I match was nothing short of spectacular. They dominated the West Indies bowlers, setting up a record-equalling opening partnership of 165 runs, the highest by Indians in the T20I format of the game. Their performance helped level the series 2-2, with the decider to be played later.
However, the fans were disappointed after Gill and Jaiswal failed to provide India another solid start in the final match of the tour.
