WI-W vs SCO-W Playing 11: West Indies will go against Scotland in Match 8 of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 on Sunday, October 6, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Both teams have been disappointing in their opening games in the tournament. 2016 winners West Indies were hailed as dark horses ahead of the tournament, but they were utterly humiliated by South Africa on the opening day, losing by 10 wickets after posting a total of just 118 runs.

Even more concerning was the utter failure of their otherwise explosive batting order, with everyone but Stafanie Taylor (44) failing to turn up on the day.
Scotland did not fare much better in their first match either, losing to Bangladesh by 16 runs in an entirely forgettable match. Other than Sarah Bryce, none of the Scottish batters looked up to the mark against the Bangladeshi bowling attack, and the Wildcats were poor in fielding, also dropping more than one catch on the day.
Ahead of their clash on Sunday, both teams will need to up their game at Dubai if they want to have any hopes of progressing through from a tough Group B which also contains the likes of England and South Africa.
