The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 is underway in Dubai, with eight teams competing for the continental T20 title. The tournament began on August 28 and the group stage will run until September 8, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals.

Pakistan Women endured a dramatic batting collapse against India in the Women's Asia Cup 2026, being bowled out for just 55 runs, their lowest-ever total in Women's T20I cricket. After reaching 27/0, Pakistan lost wickets in a rapid succession and never recovered.
Shafali Verma started the collapse by dismissing Muneeba Ali for 13, before Sree Charani struck twice in quick succession. Charani finished with 3/7, while Prema Rawat also claimed three wickets for nine runs. Deepti Sharma added two wickets for just five runs as India's spin attack completely dominated. Shawaal Zulfiqar's 14 was Pakistan's highest score, while most of the batting line-up failed to reach double figures.
India chased down the total with 69 balls to spare as they won the match by 7 wickets. Fatima Sana picked all three wickets for Pakistan but Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten 18 and took the team over the finishing line.

Defending champions Sri Lanka lead Group B with four points, while Bangladesh and UAE are separated by net run rate on two points. Indonesia are bottom after three defeats.
What is the Semifinal Scenario?
India Women have already qualified for the semifinals, while Sri Lanka are also in pole position to qualify, but haven't done yet. Bangladesh, UAE, Pakistan, Thailand and Hong Kong are mathematically in the hunt. Indonesia are the only team who have been eliminated so far.
