Record six-time champions Australia on Monday (August 26) announced a strong squad led by Alyssa Healy for the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to be staged in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from October 3-20.
Opener Healy will continue to lead the side following the retirement of long-time skipper Meg Lanning last year, while all-rounder Tahlia McGrath was named the vice-captain in the 15-player group for the show-piece tournament.

There was no big surprise in the squad, which sees only three changes from the team that won a sixth Women's T20 World Cup title in South Africa last year with Heather Graham, Jess Jonassen and Lanning being replaced by Tayla Vlaeminck, Phoebe Litchfield and Sophie Molineux.
Molineux and Vlaeminck had returned to the national side earlier this year, while young Litchfield has become a regular in all three formats of the Australian women's team since the last year.
Vlaeminck will provide Australia with an extra seam option alongside Megan Schutt, Kim Garth, Darcie Brown and Ellyse Perry, while Molineux will bolster a strong spin department that includes Ash Gardner, Alana King and Georgia Wareham.
Litchfield is added to an already strong batting line-up and could be an option to partner Healy or Beth Mooney at the top of Australia's order. Annabel Sutherland, who has been in great form since the start of the year, is one of many all-rounders in the squad.
Australia are drawn in Group A at the Women's T20 World Cup in the UAE alongside India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The fixtures for the tournament, which has been shifted from Bangladesh, will be revealed soon.
Alyssa Healy (captain/wicketkeeper), Darcie Brown, Ash Gardner, Kim Garth, Grace Harris, Alana King, Phoebe Litchfield, Tahlia McGrath, Sophie Molineux, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Megan Schutt, Annabel Sutherland, Tayla Vlaeminck, Georgia Wareham.
