Women's T20 World Cup 2024 schedule announced, India placed in Group A with Australia and Pakistan

The Women's T20 World Cup 2024 schedule was announced on Sunday, May 5 by the ICC. Hosts Bangladesh, England, South Africa and a Qualifier will be in action on the opening day on October 3. The final will be played on October 20 in Dhaka.

10 teams have been divided into two groups of five teams each. India Women are placed in Group A alongside defending champions Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and a qualifier. India Women will kick off their campaign against New Zealand in Sylhet on October 4.

South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Qualifier 2 feature in Group B. While England will face South Africa on the opening day, Bangladesh will lock horns with a qualifier.

The first semi-final will be played in Sylhet on October 17. Dhaka will host the second semi-final on October 18 and the final on October 20. There is a reserve day for both the semi-finals and final. Dhaka and Sylhet are the venues for all group stage matches as well.
