Preeti Sharma, an employee of an IT firm at Kadubeesanahalli, said: "Today, our management preponed the meetings that were scheduled for tomorrow because of the semi-final match. We were told that it will be difficult to concentrate on work because of the match and hence the management did not want to put the employees under pressure for one day."

Vaishali Majumdar, who is also an IT employee, said a projector has been installed in their office for the match. "The management has also made arrangements for special food during the match," she said.

A number of offices in Bengaluru also declared holiday because of the match.

Jokes doing rounds in IT circles

A number of jokes were also doing the rounds in the IT circles about the big clash.

Here goes one of them: An employee applied for a leave on the match day saying he did not want to fake about the reason. He said he wanted to show his patriotism on such a big day and his country needed him. He appealed to his boss for a leave.

The boss's auto-reply said: Dear sender, I will be on leave tomorrow. Response will be delayed.
