WC 2015: Gayle 1st non-Indian & West Indian to score 200 in ODIs

Canberra, Feb 24: West Indian batsman Chris Gayle slammed 215 off 147 against Zimbabwe in a Pool B match of the 2015 ICC World Cup at the Manuka Oval here on Tuesday.

Gayle became the first batsman to score a double hundred at the World Cup although he is the fourth batsman oveall to score a 200 in one-day internationals.

Here is a list of batsmen who scored 200 runs in one-day internationals so far:

• Rohit Sharma (India) 264 off 173 balls (33x4s, 9x6s) against Sri Lanka at Kolkata on Nov 13, 2014
• Virender Sehwag (India) 219 off 149 balls (25x4s, 7x6s) against West Indies at Indore on Dec 8, 2011
• Chris Gayle (West Indies) 215 off 147 balls (10x4s, 16x6s) against Zimbabwe at Canberra on Feb 24, 2015
• Rohit Sharma (India) 209 off 158 balls (12x4s, 16x6s) against Bangalore at Indore on Nov 2, 2013
• Sachin Tendulkar (India) 200 not out off 147 balls (25x4s, 3x6s) at Gwalior on Feb 24, 2010
