WC 2015: List of England's WC woes since 1996

England failed to make the quarterfinals of the ICC World Cup 2015. This is the first time since 2003 that the three-time runners failed to make the second round of the World Cup. Here is the list of England's end results in World Cups since 1992 when they last ended up as the runners up.

World Cup Special;

1996: Lost to Sri Lanka by 5 wickets in quarter-finals after finishing as the fourth qualifier in Group B.

1999: Failed to cross the group stage and qualify for the Super Six stage.

2003: Failed to cross the group stage and qualify for the Super Six stage.

2007: Made the Super Eight stage but couldn't make the semifinals.

2011: Lost to Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in quarter-finals after finishing as the third qualifier in Group B

2015: Failed to cross the group stage and qualify for the quarter-finals.
