World Cup 2023: How Afghanistan batter Ibrahim Zadran's dedication shames Pakistan on Global Stage?

Pakistan were humbled by Afghanistan on Monday (October 23) in a crucial ICC World Cup 2023 match in Chennai.

The Afghans secured a historic victory over their arch-rivals Pakistan, as they beat him by eight wickets. It was an excellent performance from their opening batters.

Ibrahim Zadran

Ibrahim Zadran, together with Rahmanullah Gurbaz, added 130 runs for the opening wicket. Rahmat Shah and captain Hashmatullah Shahidi took Afghanistan home but it was Zadran who was awarded as the Player of the match.

Zadran scored 87 runs off 113 balls, hitting 10 boundaries in his inning. And he talked in the post-match presentation after the match.

And while speaking with Raja, Ibrahim dedicated his award to the Afghani refugees who have been inhumanely sent by Pakistan to their homes.

"I want to dedicate this man of the match to that people who were sent from Pakistan back to Afghanistan," Zadran said in his post-match presentation.

Zadran's dedication shames Pakistan

Not only Zadran's dedication was braveheart, but it has shamed Pakistan on the global stage. There are Afghani people who have lived on the Pakistan side of the border, but the Pakistani government sent them back to Pakistan.

Around 1.7 million people have faced the issue and the Taliban-ruled Afghanistan said the act from Pakistan was 'unacceptable'.

Pakistan, who have often raised questions on others on human rights issues, have their face burnt after Zadran's comments. Pakistan, who always plays victims in all the other political aspects, have done some terrible injustice to the Afghanis. And Zadran's comment was a vivid reflection of that.
