Heinrich Klaasen was in destructive form as a South African batter decimated the English bowling attack in Mumbai on Saturday in a crucial ICC World Cup 2023 match.
It was an excellent batting performance by the South Africans who amassed 399 for 7 in their full quota of fifty overs.

Heinrich Klaasen was the star of the batting unit, scoring a fantastic 109 runs off just 67 balls. He took apart the English bowling attack and along with the likes of Marco Jansen, Rassie van der Dussen and Reeza Hendricks, it was runs galore for the Proteas at the Wankhede Stadium.
Klaasen and Jansen stitched a superb 151-run partnership off just 77 balls for the sixth wicket, taking the South African score to a massive one. This is also the sixth-highest score in the World Cup, and the Proteas have recorded four out of the first six highest totals in the World Cup.
But alongside, it was another fantastic record for South Africa as a team in the World Cup. This is the 20th century for them in a World Cup match. The first hundred for them was scored by Gary Kirsten in the World Cup 1996.
South Africa have also equalled their World Cup century record with the Heinrich Klaasen century against England.
This is the 5th century for them in the ICC World Cup 2023, equalling their previous record of five centuries in World Cup 2015.
Quinton de Kock has scored two tons for them already, while Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram also notched one hundred for them before Klaasen's mark on Saturday.
In 2015 World Cup, there were five centuries from South Africa as well. David Miller (138* vs ZIM), JP Duminy (115* vs ZIM), AB de Villiers (162* vs WI), Hashim Amla (159 vs IRE) and Faf du Plessis (109 vs IRE) were the centurions for them eight years ago.
