Who Won the Toss Today, ENG vs AUS World Cup 2023 Match 36: England are taking on Australia in the second match of today (Saturday, November 4) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The match is supposed to start at 2 pm IST and it is a massive match for both teams. Australia are in need of cementing their place in the semifinals, while England need a victory to stay afloat in the World Cup.

England captain Jos Buttler won the Toss and elected to Field first.
Jos Buttler (ENG Captain): We will bowl first. Little bit tacky, should get better as the game goes on, we'll have to bat better. Had some time away from the game which was nice, and then back to practice., Playing against Australia is always good, plenty to play for, some pride and there's a Champions Trophy place to secure. Same team for us.
Pat Cummins (AUS Captain): We were batting actually, so not fussed about losing the toss. Our opening batters are looking good, Stoinis and Cam Green come into the XI in place of Maxwell and Marsh. This clash always has a bit of spice, a great time to play them and I'm looking forward to the match today.
England have gone with the same team for this huge clash against Australia, while the Aussies have made two changes to their side as Mitchell Marsha and Glenn Maxwell have been replaced by Marcus Stoinis and Cameron Green.
England (Playing XI): Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Jos Buttler (c), Ben Stokes, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, David Willey, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood
Australia (Playing XI): David Warner, Travis Head, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis, Marcus Stoinis, Cameron Green, Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood
The pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium is a batting wicket and expect a lot of runs from both teams. There can be assistance for spinners later in the match, but overall it bodes a sporting wicket where batsmen will get value for their shots. Hence, winning the Toss and bowling first will be the ideal decision.
