Former Australia opener Matthew Hayden has called Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan a three-dimensional cricketer like Ravindra Jadeja. Hayden, who has worked with Pakistan team in the past, added that Shadab would be one of the key players for Pakistan during their upcoming World Cup 2023 campaign.
Pakistan are set to kick off their campaign against Hyderabad on October 6 against Qualifier 1. The marquee clash between India and Pakistan will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 15.

"Shadab Khan is a fantastic player. He is an individual of absolute quality. Like Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja), he is a three-dimensional cricketer."
"He is a dangerous hitter with the bat. He has got the variations with the ball and he is also a wonderful fielder, and just one further point around this — you win World Cups by fielding efforts," Hayden told Star Sports.
Hayden also went on to explain how extraordinary fielding efforts make a huge difference in events like the World Cup.
"They are the little things that you don't see, that make a big difference in tournament cricket. Under pressure, those catches around the boundaries, those specially unique run-outs that happen, they are the things that will never really be statistically noted in the World Cup."
Shadab Khan has played a total of 56 ODI matches till date and scored 631 runs at an average of 28.68. The 24-year-old has picked 73 wickets at an average of 32.64. He recently led the Pakistan T20I team in the absence of Babar Azam.
