Pakistan fans expressed their displeasure after Virender Sehwag's tweet mocking the Men in Green on their certain ouster from the ICC World Cup 2023 title run on Thursday. Sehwag controversially wrote 'Pakistan Zindabhaag' and the comment didn't sit well with many.
Virender Sehwag wrote on Twitter "Pakistan Zindabhaag! Have a safe flight back home" while sharing an image reading. "Bye-bye Pakistan" after New Zealand comprehensively defeated Afghanistan. While fans back in Pakistan found the tweet "disgusting", many Indian fans also admitted that Sehwag's tweet was "uncalled for".

Virender Sehwag, known for his explosive batting style back in the day and a person not to mince his words, has often made controversial gibes on Pakistan. He often is at loggerheads with Pakistan fans and has often criticised Men in Green for their performance during the World Cup 2023.
Pakistan are mathematically still in the hunt to qualify for the semifinal but need a miracle of the result where they don't just need to put a big total on the board but also bowl England out in record time at the Eden Gardens on November 11. If batting first, Pakistan will have to win the match by a margin of 287 runs and if bowling first, they will have to chase down any total in just three overs.
Batting first is the only viable option for Pakistan and post a target of 400 or more, given they have to win the game by 287 runs. Pakistan, however, have never scored 400-plus runs in the ODI format but did chase down the World Cup's record total earlier this tournament.
Fakhar Zaman has been the key figure in Pakistan's revival at the ICC World Cup 2023 as the opener played two back-to-back match-winning knocks after Babar Azam and side lost four games on the go. Pak pacers, however, had a rough time in the last game as all of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali conceded 80-plus runs in their respective spells against New Zealand.
