The Indian skipper managed to accumulate those runs in the ongoing fixture and added yet another feather in his cap.

India's batting great Sachin Tendulkar sits on top of the list with the most ODI runs
accumulated in Asia. The Master Blaster mustered 12,067 ODI runs, the most by an Indian batsman in Asia.

Virat Kohli comes next on the list as he recorded 7784 runs whereas MS Dhoni garnered 6929 runs. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly is placed fourth on the list as he piled up 6302 runs in Asia.

The likes of Mohammad Azharuddin and Rahul Dravid were the fifth and the sixth Indians to complete 6,000 ODI runs in Asia. Azharuddin scored 6267 ODI runs in Asia whereas Dravid accumulated 6127 ODI runs to his credit.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has been in sublime form in the mega tournament so far. Despite getting dismissed for a duck against Australia, Rohit made a sensational rebound against Afghanistan in which he scored 131 off 84 (16 fours, 5 sixes) in Delhi.

In the process, he became the first cricketer to score seven centuries in Cricket World Cups, which is quite an amazing record. The Indian captain followed it up with an impeccable 86 off 63 (6 fours and 6 sixes) against Pakistan in Ahmedabad.
