Indian captain Rohit Sharma has become the player with most sixes across all international formats.
Rohit Sharma has now toppled Chris Gayle from the spot and is now the proud topper of clearing the fence in international cricket. The batter achieved the record on Wednesday (October 11) in the ICC World Cup 2023 match against Pakistan.

The Indian captain needed 3 sixes to overtake Gayle, and he has gone berserk on the Afghan bowlers. Chasing 273 runs, Rohit has started in sublime fashion, destroying the Afghanistan bowlers across the park.
His effortless hitting has given India a superb start and the Hitman has cleared the fence four times already in his innings. The record came in Naveen-ul-Haq's delivery, when Rohit picked up the short ball and dismissed it with a venomous pull shot.
With that, the Indian captain managed to overtake Gayle's 553 sixes tally in international matches. Currently, the Indian captain has cleared the fence 555 times.
The 36-year-old has so far hit 555 sixes in his international career. At the time of writing, he has hit 296 sixes in ODIs and is just four away from getting to the 300-mark.
