The World Cup 2023 is entering its business end. We have witnessed some enthralling cricketing actions over the last month or so and from the 10 initial participants, we are just down to four teams who will fight for the glory.
Hosts India along with New Zealand, Australia and South Africa are in the semifinals. And the next week will be defining the new World Champion for the 2023 World Cup. Reigning Champions England, alongside former champions Pakistan and Sri Lanka, are already eliminated from the tournament.

And in the group stages, we have already witnessed some excellent performances. Players with high hopes have delivered and gone beyond expectations. Quinton de Kock, who is supposed to retire from ODI cricket after the tournament has been excellent touch as well.
In the top order, the two openers who have done exceedingly well are Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock. India captain Rohit Sharma has already amassed 503 runs in nine matches, whereas South Africa opener Quinton de Kock has 591 runs to his name.
After the two robust openers, we have gone with the undisputed king Virat Kohli. The Indian stalwart is in terrific touch in this tournament and is the highest scorer at the end of the group stages with 594 runs.
After Kohli, we have New Zealand sensation Rachin Ravindra. The Kiwi star has recorded as the highest scorer as a player in his World Cup debut.
At no. 5, Heinrich Klaasen has been a revelation for South Africa. The batter is a destructive force and is a superb option in the middle order. And Glenn Maxwell at no.6 can be his perfect partner if destruction is the order of the day.
India's Ravindra Jadeja is the kind of all-rounder who is a rock at no. 7 for the team Jadeja has been a fantastic performer in this World Cup and has 14 wickets to his name. At no. 8, South Africa's Marco Jansen comes to the fray with his superb opening spells and batting ability.
In the lower order, the two Indian pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have made the team. Bumrah has been excellent while Shami has been a wicket-taking machine. Bumrah has 15 wickets to his name, whereas Shami has scalped 16 wickets in just five matches.
The final player in the team is going to Australia's Adam Zampa. The leg-spinner has trapped the batters with his magic and currently leads the wickets column with 22 victims to his name.
