Informing about this, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson said some members of the side who were very close to Crowe would deal with the loss in their own ways throughout the tournament, according to an ESPNCricinfo report. [Numbers show why India favourites to lieft second T20 title]

Williamson said Crowe, who almost led New Zealand to their first World final in 1992 and brought innovative changes that were followed in later days, was a big part of many cricketers' lives both as a player and as an individual. [NZ beat India by 10 runs in 2007 T20 WC]
