WPL 2023: DY Patil Stadium Pitch Report, Weather Forecast, Women’s T20 & IPL Records & Stats

The DY Patil Stadium, a multi-sport facility located in Nerul in Navi Mumbai, has played hosts to only one international match since it's establishment in 2008.
The venue, which is operated by the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, however, has hosted a fair amount of Indian Premier League matches over the years, also serving as home to record IPL champions Mumbai Indians as well as now defunct Pune Warriors and Deccan Chargers.
Apart from the IPL franchises, the DY Patil Stadium has also hosted Indian Super League (ISL) team Mumbai City FC. The venue was the home stadium for Mumbai City FC in 2014.
BCCI has announced the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai as one of the two venues along with the Brabourne Stadium for the inaugural Women's Premier League - WPL 2023.
The DY Patil Stadium will host 11 of the 22 matches including the WPL 2023 eliminator, while the remaining 11 matches, including the final, will be played at the Braburne Stadium in Mumbai.
Gujarat Giants will clash with Mumbai Indians in the tournament curtain-raiser at the venue on March 4. MI and Delhi Capitals will be playing five of their matches at the venue, while Royal Challengers Bangalore and GG will be playing three games each at the venue, where UP Warriorz will play four matches.

DY Patil Stadium Pitch Report
The wickets at the venue had produced some high-scoring matches in IPL 2022 and the recent women's international matches as well as the WPL. While the earlier matches in WPL saw big totals, the last few matches have been low-scoring affairs with the team batting first struggling to post a big total and the chasing team also occasionally struggling to get over the line. But most matches have ended in favour of the chasing rather than the team defending totals so far.
Navi Mumbai DY Patil Stadium Weather Forecast

There is possibility of some summer showers as well with forecast for a few cloudy days during the tournament.
