Royal Challengers Bangalore Women (RCBW) on Friday lost their fourth match on the trot as UP Warriorz registered a thumping 10-wicket win with 42 balls to spare at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. RCB are the only team in the WPL 2023 to not register a win so far.
After electing to bat first, Bangalore were bundled out for 138 in 19.3 overs. Sophie Devine (36) and Ellyse Perry (52) were the only two players from the side who could score over 15 runs. Captain Smriti Mandhana failed to get going once again and departed after scoring just four runs off six balls. England stalwart Heather Knight could also manage just two runs off as many balls. Sophie Ecclestone, the number one ranked women's T20I bowler in the world, picked four wickets for 13 runs for UP Warriorz. Deepti Sharma also picked three wickets for 26 runs.
In reply, UP opener and captain Alyssa Healy slammed 96 unbeaten runs (18 fours and 1 six) off just 47 balls to take her team to a thumping 10-wicket win in just 13 overs. Her batting partner Devika Vaidya scored unbeaten 36 runs off 31 balls. UP and Delhi now have four points each but the latter is ahead of the former because of a superior Net Run Rate (NRR).

Post RCB's defeat fans have rallied behind Mandhana who is having a forgettable season in the inaugural WPL so far. The southpaw has scored 80 runs in four matches at an average of 20 and lost all the four matches as captain.
"I take the blame too. We've been starting well, but losing wickets in the cluster," the 26-year-old said after the match.
Fans have rallied behind the star batter and lent their support in the tough time. Here are a few reactions after RCB's fourth consecutive defeat.
