1. Smriti Mandhana (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Smriti Mandhana, the RCB captain, will be definitely one of the flagship players in the WPL. The stylish southpaw was the most expensive buy in the auction and has been one of India's premier batters in the past few years. She had a decent outing in the Women's T20 World Cup and will be looking to step things up in the upcoming tournament. There will be an added element of captaincy in her role now, and that can also extract the best out of Mandhana. The ever-smiling batting star of Indian women's cricket is definitely the dazzling star to keep an eye on. Can she dazzle others with her batting prowess? Only time will tell.

2. Jemimah Rodrigues (Delhi Capitals)
Jemimah Rodrigues was sold to Delhi Capitals for INR 2.2 crore. Here is another Indian batting star who can become a very pivotal part of her team's jigsaw. Jemimah has been in tremendous form of late, and has done exceedingly well in the T20 format. She scored 129 runs in the Women's T20 World Cup and helped India to win over arch-rivals Pakistan. The Delhi Capitals batting lineup will be revolving around Jemimah, whose ability to bat according to the situation will be instrumental for their success.

3. Shafali Verma (Delhi Capitals)
Shafali Verma had a fantastic time in the Women's U-19 T20 World Cup as she led India to a World Cup glory. But she failed to replicate that in the senior T20 World Cup and it was a disappointing tournament for the youngster. Even at a tender age, the teenager has been a superb performer in the senior international circuit and has been one of the dashing batters for India. Shafali's big price tag of INR 2 crore will warrant expectations, but she has the ability to thwart pressure and stamp her own authority. At the top of the DC batting lineup, Shafali's ability to dismantle bowlers will be crucial for the team. The swashbuckling player has the ability to win a game by her own, and DC will be hoping so in this upcoming tournament.
