In the inaugural season, all the WPL matches will be played in Mumbai and there will be a total of 22 matches in the tournament across 23 days in two venues.

Mumbai Indians do have some top players in their ranks. The MI-W roped in some top-notch players in the auction and here are the players who can play a big part for them-
Harmanpreet Kaur: India captain and MI-W captain Harmanpreet Kaur will be the heartbeat of the franchise. Harmanpreet will be key in their middle order and her leadership skills will be instrumental for the franchise in the inaugural WPL season. Her experience of playing franchise cricket, expertise in home conditions will be vital and synonymous to the success of the Mumbai Indians.
Nat Sciver-Brunt: England's Nat Sciver-Brunt will have the role to give MI-W a blistering start with the bat. She is a fantastic player up top and her ability to score runs at a brisk pace will be key for the MI women team in the WPL. She will have a huge duty with the ball with her medium-pace bowling. The intelligent English all-rounder was the most expensive buy for MI in the auction, and she has to come up with the goods in the tournament.
Pooja Vastrakar: Pooja Vastrakar's dual ability will be key for MI in the tournament. The Indian all-rounder is a wicket-taker with the ball, and a dasher with the bat. She can role her arms with decent medium pace bowling, and also is a handy batter down the order. MI can use him as a finisher in the matches. Although a young player, Vastrakar has a calm head in her, which will also be a big boost for MI in crunch situations.
If all the players are fit, it will be a dilemma for the Mi-W management to field the perfect team. Here is what the probable starting lineup of MI can look like in the WPL 2023-
