UP Warriorz inflicted the first defeat of the season for Mumbai Indians in the Women's Premier League on Saturday (March 18).
Mumbai Indians were bundled out for just 127 runs and the Warriorz chased the target with three balls to spare and won the match by 5 wickets. With the win, UP Warriorz have helped their cause in the race for playoffs. They currently occupy the final playoff spot and have six points after six matches.
Mumbai Indians suffered their first defeat of the season in their 6th match and will have to win at least another match to finish at the summit of the WPL table and directly qualify for the final. They are already through to the playoffs though and have 10 points after six matches.

Mumbai Indians batter Hayley Matthews won the award for hitting three sixes. The West Indies batter scored 35 runs with the bat and also picked up a wicket with the ball.
Player of the Match
UP Warriorz all-rounder Deepti Sharma was player of the match for her all-around performance. She picked up 2 wickets with the ball and scored an unbeaten 13 runs. She was also excellent in the field and inflicted two run-outs, one crucial one of Isabelle Wong at the fag end of the MI-W inning.
