WPL 2025 Auction Most Expensive Buys: A short and crisp auction in Bengaluru was enough to complete the final touch of the Women's Premier League 2025 as the five teams secured their squad for the WPL 2025 season.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants combinedly roped in 19 players in the auction.

Simran Shaikh emerged as the most expensive player in the auction. The all-rounder from Mumbai was signed by Gujarat Giants for a humongous Rs 1.90 crore, making him the top-placed signing in the auction. The 22-year-old has been part of the UP Warriorz in the past but she will be donning the Gujarat jersey next season.
West Indies star Deandra Dottin was also roped in by the Giants as they paid Rs 1.70 crore for her. She was also the most expensive overseas player at the event. Dottin has played 143 ODIs and 132 T20Is for West Indies, and has picked 139 wickets across formats. She also has scored 2 international centuries in her career. She was part of the Gujarat franchise before but withdrew from the squad.
Tamil Nadu's youngster, 16-year-old G. Kamalini was acquired by Mumbai Indians for a whopping Rs 1.60 crore. Kamalini, who also had a superb outing for India U19 against Pakistan U19 in the U19 Women's Asia Cup on Sunday, was ecstatic to join the Mumbai franchise as she spoke from Malaysia while on international duty.
Prema Rawat from Uttarakhand also bagged a superb deal as RCB women signed her for Rs 1.2 crore. Nallapureddy Shree Charani was the fifth biggest signing in the auction as Delhi Capitals bought her for Rs 55 lakh.
