The Women's Premier League is set to have its mini-auction for the WPL 2025 season on Sunday (December 15).
Five teams will be aiming to wrap up their squad in the mini auction, which is going to take place in Bengaluru.

A total of 120 players will be up in the auction - comprised of 91 Indian and 29 overseas players. The Gujarat Giants enter the auction with the largest purse of ₹4.4 crore, while the Delhi Capitals have the smallest purse at ₹2.5 crore. The UP Warriorz have ₹3.9 crore available, defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore can spend ₹3.25 crore, and inaugural winners Mumbai Indians have ₹2.65 crore to utilize.
The WPL 2025 auction features four base price brackets - ₹50 lakh, ₹30 lakh, ₹20 lakh, and ₹10 lakh. Notably, only three players have entered the highest base price category of ₹50 lakh.
Heather Knight is an accomplished English cricketer who serves as the captain of the England women's national team. A right-handed batter and occasional off-spin bowler, Knight has been a key player for England in all formats of the game. Under her leadership, England won the 2017 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, a landmark achievement in women's cricket. Knight played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women side in WPL 2023.

Lee was the ICC Women's ODI Cricketer of the Year in 2021 and is known for her ability to dominate bowling attacks with her aggressive stroke play. She retired from international cricket in 2022 but continues to feature in domestic and franchise T20 leagues worldwide. But she has never played in the WPL so far.
Deandra Dottin is a dynamic West Indian cricketer known for her all-round abilities. A hard-hitting right-handed batter and a capable seam bowler, Dottin made history by becoming the first woman to score a century in T20 International cricket, achieving the feat in just 38 balls during the 2010 ICC Women's World T20. She was sold to Gujarat Giants in an auction but never played for them.
