The Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bhirai Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow was a witness to a record-breaking night on International Women's Day (Saturday, March 8) as UP Warriorz defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 12 runs in a high-scoring thriller.
Several records were broken on the night, starting with highest total and the joint highest individual score, while the night closed with the most boundaries scored and the highest aggregate in a Women's Premier League match.

Georgia Voll, a late replacement in UP Warriorz squad in WPL 2025, was the prime architect of the run feast in Lucknow. The Australia opener, who was roped in to replace Chamari Athapaththu, smashed an unbeaten 99 to take the Warriorz to the highest total in WPL history.
By falling one run short of WPL's first century, Voll equalled the record for the highest individual score in the Women's Premier League, joining RCB's Sophie Devine, who finished on 99 in the inaugural edition in 2023. Here is a look at the highest scores in WPL:
Voll's 17 fours and 1 six also contributed to another record - most boundaries scored in a Women's Premier League innings, and eventually the match with RCB batters also contributing to the bondary count in the high-scoring contest.
39 boundaries (32 fours, 7 sixes) scored by UP Warriorz in the first innings against RCB was the most hit by a team in a WPL innings, while 32 boundaries hit by RCB in the run-chase took the overall tally to 71 for most boundaries in a WPL game. The previous record was 64 between GG and RCB at Brabourne in 2023.
