The third edition of the Women’s Premier League - WPL 2025, organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) featuring five teams will get underway on Friday (February 14).
Like the previous two seasons, five teams - Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz - will battle for the title, starting with the double round-robin format with three teams heading into the WPL playoffs.

The WPL playoff will feature only two matches - the Eliminator on March 13 and the WPL Final on March 15. The second and third placed teams will lock horns in the eliminator to book a spot in the final against the first placed team.
A total of 22 matches will be staged across the next month with the tournament set to be hosted in a caravan format in four venues, starting with the first leg at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara followed by M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The action will then shift to Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee (BRSABV) Ekana Stadium in Lucknow before the tournament concludes with the last leg at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, which will also host the eliminator and the final.
In the season 3 opener, defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face Gujarat Giants, while the second match will see season one champions Mumbai Indians take on two-time runners up Delhi Capitals.
UP Warriorz will play their first match of the season against Gujarat Giants on the third day of the season. All the matches will start at 7:30 PM IST. Each team will play in 8 league phase matches in double round-robin format before the top three based on the points table standings head into the playoffs.
