Anushka Sharma has been roped in by Gujarat Giants for a sum of Rs 45 lakh in the WPL 2026 mega auction.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru were interested in the player, but it was the Giants who managed to pick the player, paying 4.5 times of her base price.

Who is Anushka Sharma?

Anushka Brijmohan Sharma represents Madhya Pradesh Women, India C Women, India B Women Under-19, Central Zone Women, India E Women, and Bundelkhand Bulls Women in domestic cricket. Born on 5th April, 2003, the 22-year-old player is an exciting talent.

As a batting all-rounder, she contributes with middle-order stability and handy off-spin, though international stats remain unavailable. Her career focuses on T20 and List A formats in Indian women's domestic circuit.​

In the domestic one-day matches, she averages 63 runs per match with boundaries every 10.1 balls and wickets every 27 balls; in WDT20, 21.8 runs per match and wickets every 18 balls. She has aggregated over 4,000 career runs across formats, showing consistent lower-order impact.

Anushka was excellent for Central Zone in the recent Sr. Women's Interzonal trophy, as her magnificent 80 off just 58 balls, and she scored a total of 155 runs in the tournament with a strike rate of 125. She also scored 207 runs for Madhya Pradesh in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy this season.
