The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 is scheduled to start on January 9, 2026, with the final set for February 5, 2026, marking the first time the final will be held on a weekday (Thursday).
Five teams will battle it out for the glory as the premier Women's tournament turns its fourth year. The teams are - RCB Women, DC Women, MI Women, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz.

The tournament will span 28 days and will be hosted at two venues: Navi Mumbai and Vadodara. The initial 11 matches, including two double-headers on Saturdays, will be held at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium, and the remaining matches, including the eliminator and the final, will take place at Vadodara's Kotambi Stadium.
The WPL 2026 league format remains consistent with previous seasons, where each of the five teams plays the others twice in the league phase. The top team from the league phase directly qualifies for the final, while the second and third-placed teams compete in an eliminator match on February 3, with the winner proceeding to the final against the top team.
The schedule includes a few rest days-January 18 marks the end of the Navi Mumbai leg, February 2 is a break day post the group stage, and February 4 is a rest day before the final. The timing of the WPL 2026 also avoids clash with major international fixtures such as the men's Under-19 World Cup and the men's T20 World Cup, starting shortly after the WPL concludes. Notably, this edition features two double-header days on Saturdays and a final in early February rather than the usual February-March window seen in prior seasons.
