WPL 2026: Two RCB overseas players who can fill Ellyse Perry void

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru women have suffered a big blow as Australian star Ellyse Perry opted out of the WPL 2026, citing personal reasons.

Perry, who has been a key part of the RCB Women's side, announced her sabbatical from the upcoming Women's Premier League, which is set to start soon.

"Ace Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry has pulled out of the upcoming edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL) due to personal reasons," RCB said in a statement on Tuesday (December 30).

RCB have roped in Sayali Satghare as a replacement, as the Indian youngster has been roped in for Rs 30 lakh. But Perry's void is a massive one, and the franchise will need other players stepping up to fill that void. Here are two overseas players who can play the role of Perry for the franchise in the WPL 2026 season.

Grace Harris

Australian Grace Harris will have to step up in Ellyse Perry's role. The 32-year-old all-rounder is known for her multifaceted skills and can play a key part for RCB women in the WPL 2026 season. She was bought for Rs 75 lakh in the auction. Harris boasts a superb strike rate of 140 with the bat, and has also picked up 13 wickets during her stint with the UP Warriorz.

Nadine de Klerk

Nadine de Klerk has been a menace to the opposition down the order. The South Africa all-rounder is known for her hard-hitting abilities and that was in full show in the recent Women's World Cup. Along with that, she can roll her arms effectively and get crucial wickets for her team. RCB bought her for Rs 65 lakh and Nadine will be aiming to play an enhanced role with Perry's unavailability.
