WPL Auction 2023: Delhi Capitals Full Squad, Players List with Price in the Auction

Delhi Capitals have brought in some impressive players and have built a strong squad for the inaugural season of the Women's Premier League (WPL).

A total of 409 players have registered for the auction, 246 of them are Indians, along with 163 overseas players. There are 202 capped players and 199 uncapped players. A total of 8 players from the associate nations are also set to go under the hammer.

Each team's salary cap for the first WPL season is INR 12 crore. BCCI will also allow 5 overseas players in the starting XI, provided one of those players is from the associate country.

Delhi Capitals were the only team to not buy any Marquee players in the auction. They started their business with the acquisition of Jemimah Rodrigues, and then made some quickfire signings to bolster the squad. India's explosive batter Shafali Verma was also taken up by DC for 2 Crore.

The Capitals then went on to get South African legend Marizanne Kapp for INR 1.5 crore, and also signed veteran Indian all-rounder Shikha Pandey. They also wrapped up the deals for Arundhati Reddy, while spent 50 Lakh late to get Australia all-rounder Jess Jonassen at the very end.

Delhi Capitals Purse Used:

The Delhi Capitals franchise used up INR 11.65 crore and had 35 Lakh in their kitty at the end of the auction. They were the franchise with the least amount of spending in the auction.
