WPL Auction 2025 Remaining Purse & Slots: How Much Money & Vacant Slots Are Left For Franchises?

A maximum of 19 slots including 5 overseas player slots can be filled during the one-day Women's Premier League Mini Auction 2025, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru on Sunday (December 15).

A total of 124 players will go under the hammer on Sunday (December 15) featuring 95 Indian players and 29 overseas players. Also, this auction players list sees as many as 93 uncapped players - 85 from India and eight from overseas.

Each team was allotted a total purse of INR 15 crore to build a squad of a maximum of 18 players, including six overseas cricketers, for the upcoming WPL 2025. All 5 teams made retentions ahead of the auction and exhausted their funds.

Despite releasing four players, DC had the lowest remaining purse, while GG had the highest. RCB has a substantial amount to spend, but could only buy Indian players, while the rest of the teams needed to fill 1 foreign slot, and Gujarat Giants need to fill two overseas slots. England's Heather Knight, West Indies' Deandra Dottin and India's Sneh Rana will be among the prominent names that will feature in the bidding process, while there are several other overseas players and many uncapped Indian players who will be hoping to land WPL contracts.

WPL Auction 2025 Remaining Slots

Only UP Warriorz had to fill three slots, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants had four vacant slots going into the auction. Here is a look at the slots left and the squad strength of all five teams:
