The 19-year-old was part of the Indian squad that won the recent U19 T20 World Cup in South Africa, and is currently part of the Indian senior team for the T20 World Cup.
Richa, who is not just a fantastic custodian behind the stumps, is known for her hard-hitting in the middle order. Despite being such young, Richa has a mature head and she showed that in India's win over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup, scoring 31 crucial runs off just 20 balls to take India over the line against the arch-rivals.
The Siliguri-born player has played 17 ODIs and 30 T20Is so far in her career, scoring 311 and 458 runs respectively. She has an impressive strike rate of 135 in the T20s, and will be a pivotal part of her squad in the upcoming WPL season.
Richa had a base price of 50 Lakh, and it was a two-way battle for her signature. Both Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore went for her, but in the end, it was Royal Challengers Bangalore who managed to get hold of the talented Indian player for INR 1.9 crore.
