Natalie Sciver-Brunt became the joint most expensive player at the Women's Premier League or WPL auction in Mumbai on Monday when she was sold for Rs 3.20 crore to Mumbai Indians.
The franchise, which is a five times winner of the Indian Premier League, was adamant about buying the Englishwoman as they spend Rs 1.40 crore more than her on their captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who is currently leading the Indian team in the Women's T20 World Cup in South Africa.

Nat Sciver, full name Natalie Ruth Sciver-Brunt, is an experienced cricketer with over 200 international matches played for England. She made her England debut back in 2013 after shining with County side Surrey and plays as an all-rounder, with handy medium-pace skills.
So far Nat Sciver has scored close to 2000 runs in WT20Is and over 3000 runs in WODIs and is popularly known for inventing 'Natmeg' shot, where she hit a ball through her legs. She has over 150 international wickets to her name as well.
Nat Sciver also has experience of playing franchise cricket as she played for teams such as Melbourne Stars, and Perth Scorchers in the Women's Big Bash. She also featured for Trent Rockets in The Hundred.
Nat Sciver was born in Tokyo, Japan to English parents, with her mother Julia Longbottom, who served as England's ambassador to Japan. Sciver is married to her England teammate Katherine Brunt. The couple get married in 2022 after engagement in 2019. They changed their name to Sciver-Brunt after marriage.
