The fourth season of the Women's Premier League is currently in progress, marking another major chapter in India's flagship women's T20 franchise competition. The 2026 edition of the tournament began on January 9 and will conclude with the final on February 5.

Five teams are battling for the title this season - Mumbai Indians Women, Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women, Delhi Capitals Women, Gujarat Giants Women and UP Warriorz Women - as the league continues to showcase the growing depth and quality of women's cricket in the country.

WPL 2026 Tournament Overview and Preview Format

Double round-robin league stage (each team plays 8 matches), followed by playoffs. The top team advances directly to the final, while the second and third-placed teams contest the Eliminator for a spot in the summit clash.

Total Matches: 22 league games + Eliminator + Final.

Venues: The first leg (first 11 matches, January 9-17) is at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. The action then shifts to Baroda Cricket Association Stadium (Kotambi Stadium), Vadodara, for the remaining league matches, Eliminator (February 3), and Final (February 5).
