Sri Lanka leap-frogged several teams to sit in fourth spot on the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 standings after a 192-run series-clinching win over Bangladesh in the second Test of the two-match series on Wednesday (April 3).
Dhananjaya de Silva-led Sri Lanka dominated the majority of the series away from home, with Kamindu Mendis finishing the series as the leading run-scorer with 367 runs at an average of 122.33.

Mendis hit an unbeaten 92 during the first innings as Sri Lanka amassed a whopping total of 531 and their bowlers quickly backed up their efforts by dismissing Bangladesh for just 178 in reply at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram..
In the second innings, Angelo Mathews scored a fifty as Sri Lanka declared at 157/7 with a lead of 510 before Lahiru Kumara’s 4 for 50 helped bowl out Bangladesh for 318 to finish the match during the opening session on the fifth day of the final Test.
Earlier in the first Test, Sri Lanka skipper Dhananjaya's twin centuries and Mendis' ton to seal a massive 328-run win last month at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet.

With a 50 percent points percentage, Sri Lanka are only behind India (first), Australia (second) and New Zealand (third), while Bangladesh slipped to joint seventh. Here is a look at the latest WTC standings:
