India consolidated their position on top of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 standings following a 5-wicket series sealing win over England in the fourth Test of the five-match series on Monday (February 26).
From going down 0-1 in the series opener in Hyderabad, India have gone unbeaten in three matches to take an unassailable lead in the series and also cemented their place in second on the WTC points table with 5 wins in 8 Tests in the current cycle.

After Dhruv Jurel helped India cut down on the first innings deficit, R Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav combined to take 9 wickets to reduce England to 145, setting the hosts to chase down 192 in the fourth innings.
On the final day of twists and turns, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave India a great start before five wickets fell in a space of few overs, giving England a way back in the Test, but Jurel and Shubman Gill ensured the hosts reached the target without any further hiccups.
