Out of the final race, Pakistan moved closer to England in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 standings after a 9-wicket in the third and final Test of the three-match series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Saturday (October 26).
Sajid Khan and Noman Ali were the architects of Pakistan's incredible comeback as the pair helped register the country's first Test win on home soil since February 2021 last week, and repeated the feat again this week to seal the series 2-1.

Pakistan ended a three-year wait for a Test series win on home soil. The 9-wicket triumph also marked Pakistan's first home Test series win since the past four-Test series.
Joe Root and Harry Brook helped England script a historic victory by an innings and 47 runs in the series opener in Multan. The signs looked positive for England after the first Test, but ever since the duo of Noman and Sajid arrived, the visitors have found it tough.
The two senior Pakistan spinners, who combined to dismantle England's batting in the second Test, ran through visitors' line-up combining for 10 wickets in the second innings as Noman claimed 6 wickets and Sajid took four wickets to bundle the opponents out for just 112.
Chasing just 36 for the win, Pakistan lost just opener Saim Ayub en-route to the nine wicket win, which saw them move to seventh spot in the WTC standings with 33.33 percentage of points won.
With four wins in 10 matches, Pakistan moved above Bangladesh in the standings, while England remained in sixth as the defeat saw their win percentage drop to 40.79. Here is a look at the latest WTC standings:
